P.3 English Activity “Bite-Sized English: Learn While You Order” 三年級英文科學習活動『點餐學英語』

To match the curriculum and arouse students’ learning interest, the school organized an English activity – “Learn While You Order”. P.3 students learnt to read an English menu and order food in English beforehand and they visited McDonald’s at Yat Tung Shopping Centre on 25th June (3A) and 27th June (3B, 3C).
During the activity, the students used English to order a set of Happy Meal. They felt very excited because they had an opportunity to use English language skills in real life and chose their favourite food. They enjoyed having the meal with their classmates in the restaurant as well.
After the activity, students could choose to do one task that they were interested in. They designed their own Happy Meal, created their own Happy Meal Box or made a video about their own meal. They had an enjoyable and fruitful learning experience.
為配合三年級教學內容及提升學生的學習興趣，本校舉辦「點餐學英語」學習活動。三年級學生預先學習閱讀英文餐牌及使用英文點餐，並於6月25日(3A)及27日(3B, 3C) 到逸東商場麥當勞餐廳購買食物。
在活動中，同學使用英文點「開心樂園餐」，他們能在真實的環境下使用英文和挑選自己喜愛的食物，顯得十分雀躍，亦很享受與同學們在餐廳一起用餐。
活動結束後，同學可以選擇完成最少一份自己有興趣的作業，包括設計自己的「開心樂園餐」、創作「開心樂園餐」新盒子或拍攝影片介紹自己創作的餐牌。同學們在這次活動中均獲得了愉快和寶貴的學習經驗。
